This project was based on our BlackButt design. The brief for this job was to take advantage of the ocean and forest views and that meant plenty of glass. Through passive orientation this could be achieved while maintaining the thermal performance of the building. The covered deck taking in the sea views and the addition of an Australian made Nectre wood heater made this a cosy weekender for the perfect escape, even when chasing the waves in the depths of winter.
